HinduVerse (“HinduVerse,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a mobile app and website that offer short spiritual practices, learning content, and progress tracking. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your information.
Quick summary: We collect only what we need to create your account, sync your practice, support subscriptions, and keep things running safely. We don’t sell your data.
1) Information we collect
You give us
Account & profile: email address and display name (if provided). If you use third-party sign-in (Apple/Google), we receive a unique identifier and the email they share with your permission.
Content & activity you choose to store: japa counts, reading history, saved items, plans, goals, notes, preferences (language/script, notifications).
Support messages: when you contact us.
Collected automatically
Device & app data: app version, device model, OS, time zone, language, crash logs, and basic usage analytics.
Website cookies (for the 1-page site): essential cookies and limited analytics to keep the site working and understand basic traffic.
From Apple during purchases
Subscription status and receipts: product ID, original transaction ID, renewal/expiry dates, and Apple Server Notification events (renew, cancel, refund). We do not receive your full payment card details—Apple processes payments.
2) How we use your information
Provide, personalize, and improve the app (sync practice, show saved items, recommend content).
Authenticate your account and secure sessions.
Process and validate in-app subscriptions and free trials (via Apple).
Fix problems and improve stability (crash/diagnostic data).
Communicate with you (service messages, support).
Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We rely on: Performance of a contract (to run the app you asked us to provide), Legitimate interests (security, improvement), and Consent where required (notifications, certain analytics).
4) Sharing of information
We share only with:
Service providers acting on our behalf (e.g., hosting/database, authentication, analytics, crash reporting).
Apple (App Store, StoreKit) to manage purchases; Google if you use Google sign-in.
Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
Business transfers if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (your privacy rights remain).
We do not sell your personal information.
5) Data retention
We keep data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
6) Your choices & rights
Access/Export: request a copy of your data.
Correct/Update: fix profile details and settings.
Delete: delete your account in-app or by emailing us.
Opt-out of notifications/analytics: control these in Settings (where available).
EEA/UK users may also object to processing or complain to a supervisory authority.
7) Children’s privacy
HinduVerse is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (encrypted transport, secure token storage, access controls). No method is 100% secure; please keep your device and account credentials safe.
9) International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country (e.g., in Canada/US). We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.
10) Third-party links
Our content may link to external sites or videos. Their privacy practices are their own.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we’ll notify you in-app or on the site. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.

HinduVerse — Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the HinduVerse app and website (“Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1) Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity on your account. If you use third-party sign-in (Apple/Google), you authorize us to receive basic account details from that provider.
2) Subscriptions, free trial, and billing (iOS)
Purchase & Billing: Digital subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit). Apple is the merchant of record.
Plan: HinduVerse Premium — $9.99/month (USD/CAD or local equivalent) with a 3-day free trial (one per Apple ID, where available).
Auto-renewal: After the trial, your subscription automatically renews each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage/Cancel: Open your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (or use “Manage Subscription” in-app). We cannot cancel for you.
Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
Access window: If you cancel, you retain premium access until the end of the paid period.
We may change pricing or plans with advance notice where required. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
3) License and use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.
4) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app or content;
circumvent paywalls or security;
upload malware or interfere with operation;
use the Services to harass, abuse, or violate others’ rights.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
5) Content and intellectual property
All content (text, graphics, audio, design) is owned by HinduVerse or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not use our names, logos, or marks without permission.
6) Health & spiritual disclaimer
HinduVerse provides educational and spiritual content only. It is not medical, psychological, or legal advice and is not a substitute for professional care. If you have health concerns, seek appropriate professional support.
7) Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for outages, data loss, or changes to the Services.
8) Warranties & liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and limit liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.
9) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold HinduVerse, its owners, and partners harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Where local law requires, you may have consumer rights that cannot be waived.
11) Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your account. We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
12) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we’ll notify you in-app or on the site. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
